Truly Historic Day: Barack Obama Elected President
In 2004, like a lot of other people, I was first exposed to Barack Obama in his speech. In 2004 I was 23 and had never voted in my life. In that upcoming election I still didn’t vote, but I remember thinking at the time that if that man ever ran for president I would vote for him. If you didn’t see the speech you should definitely watch it. Four years later today I voted for my first U.S. president. It wasn’t easy and required waiting in line for three and a half hours, but watching the celebrations around the world here on CNN I know I did the right thing and tomorrow I will wake up with a brighter outlook for the future.
