Family Fun for Christmas
So I guess the easiest way to describe it is that I’m really enjoying my Nikon D90. The HD video it takes isn’t that bad either. Hope you enjoy this little video. Can you tell my brother is in sales or that my mom hates being on video? Love you mom! It was nice to spend some time with the family and record some of the memories especially considering in just a few days from now I’ll be moving out of state and not seeing family on such a regular...
What Was I Thinking: Moving to a Winter Wonderland?
I’m in the airport ready to travel back home to Duncan from quite an interesting last few days. If you have been following the hash on twitter #kj-boston you already know some about the amazing trip getting there, but if not let me just give you a quick recap. This was simply supposed to be a painless few day trip up to Boston to secure an apartment to live for the move on January 2nd. See What Wuz Supposed To Happen… Originally the plan was to leave midday Saturday and apartment shop Sunday & Monday make a decision and leave on Tuesday. Simple enough? Well… not exactly. The winter blizzard that I left earlier in the week coming back from CASE V and that had blessing me with the opportunity to spend a restless night in the Charlotte...
Pictures: Wofford OCM Christmas Party
Last night was the Wofford’s Office of Communcation & Marketing (OCM) Christmas Party. My new Nikon D90 had just come arrived, Merry Christmas to ME, so as you can imagine I was quite excited to snap some pictures with it and the Christmas party was the perfect occasion. Naturally a review of the D90 to come soon. Below are the pictures. Also if you know anything about the Nikon D90 maybe you have heard that it’s the first SLR camera that takes HD video. I did some toying with that also. Just like any other camera I think it’s going to be best to get an external mic, but suprisingly the builtin mic doesn’t sound to bad. The one definite requirement is going to be a tripod to take video as it can be near impossible to keep the...
Stupid Fun with Fake Teeth
So I’m not really sure how Joe inspired me to do this or why… but it was fun and made sense at the time. Ok yeah I am it was this tweet. Enjoy. Also some extra Redneck Laugh...
Greg Maddux: A True Legend Retires
I’m a die hard Atlanta Braves fan. With the territory I’m a student of the game who values quality pitching and much prefer a pitching dual in a 1-0 game over a 10-9 slug out. Today Greg Maddux announced his retirement. Greg pitched for the Braves for eleven wonderful years (every year they were in the playoffs) and was a surgeon on the mound dissecting hitters like nobody else could with pinpoint control and the mental toughness like no other. Maddux wasn’t the most physical and his fastball only topped out in the 90′s earlier in his career but no one can deny his greatness. It’s almost impossible to fully list all his accomplishments but I’m going to try and list a few. Four time CY Young Winner (1992-95 four...
