A Fall Visit To The Blue Ridge Parkway

A couple of weeks ago Heather and I went up to Asheville for the weekend with some friends. We took part of the day on Saturday to take a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and do a short little day hike up the Richland Balsam. Richland Balsam is the highest point along the parkway. If you are a big fan of fall foliage or the mountains then you might enjoy looking through some of our better photos. Fall on the Blue Ridge Parkway   The Richland Balsam Nature...

Bentley made the Braves Facebook Page

Bentley made the Braves Facebook Page

This one was just too good not to share and keep archived here.  Today my brother, Todd, and I took his two year old son Bentley to see the Braves Caravan.  The Braves Caravan is where the team sends players to locations in “Braves Country” where fans can get autographs and meet the players.  They were in Greenville today so for die-hard fans like my family it was a no-brainer to go.  After waiting in a line for about 30 minutes we were able to meet a couple of players, get autographs and apparently they snapped a picture of us too.  Or more specifically they snapped a  picture of Bentley.  Bentley was getting his jacket signed by the players as as you can see in the picture below he was getting it signed by future Rookie of the Year Julio...

4th of July Weekend in Boston

Heather’s parents were in town over the 4th of July weekend so we did what any good host would do and took them all over Boston.  Here are the most interesting pictures of the weekend.  Sorry no firework pictures this year but if you want those then you should check out my 4th of July firework extravaganza post from last...

Pictures from PAX East

Last Sunday I went to PAX East with my buddy TJ.  It was very much a nostalgia event for me.  With all the hardcore gamers (all sorts of games) it reminded me a lot of back in the day when I used to spend hours creating D&D characters, mastering Super Mario Brothers or building a Magic: The Gathering deck.  Even the Warhammer 40K games brought back some memories of the Space Wolves army I used to have. I really liked seeing some of the really old games but PAX East is definitely focused on the shiney new toys.  Those shiney new toys are all about video games these days.  The most interesting shiney new thing I saw was a working demo of Duke Nukem Forever.  The idea that this game was coming out soon has been a running joke for a...

HubSpot Holiday Party 2010

Last night was the HubSpot holiday party.  Somewhere along the way my job title expanded to include company photographer?  It was a great night of fun and I was able to snap a few quality photos.  A shoutout to John Marcus for letting me borrow is flash most of the night to get such great photographs. Also here is a fun little video.  A couple of my co-workers share their hardcore Bostonian accents with the rest of us.  Thanks Julie & Billy.  Can you believe people think I talk...

Happy Halloween 2010

Not a whole lot to say.  This photo just about sums it all up. I was just going for the look of a pirate, but some people thought I was Captain Jack Sparrow.  You make the call. Photos taken by...
